2nd Mile Club Men's Service Ministry

A Little History

Our Men's Service Ministry has been known as The Baptist Men, and then Men In Action (MIA).  The MIA was spearheaded by Mr. Howard Syck, whose servant heart and enthusiasm has set a standard for men of faith to follow.  This example is evident today in our current service to the Christian family and community at large.

The 2nd Mile Club's focus is on helping others by coming together, using our God-given gifts and investing time in our community.  We want to live generously, because God has been generous to us.  We do this by sharing of ourselves in fellowship and service to others, not with expectation of reward, but to honor our Lord and be a witness for our faith.

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."
